Before you start

Reading — 30 questions, 40 minutes.
Mathematical Reasoning — 35 questions, 40 minutes.
Thinking Skills — 40 questions, 40 minutes.
Writing — 1 extended-response task, 25 minutes, matching the real Janison format.
Total — 106 items across 145 minutes of test time, matching the real NSW Selective specification. Calculators are not allowed.
No pausing — once you start, each section's timer runs to its own end.
Refresh is safe — your answers and timer are preserved if you reload or lose connection mid-section.

Writing section is practice-only. The 25-minute prompt is delivered and timed; your response is saved but is not currently auto-graded. Use it for pacing and for self-review against the rubric — automated marking is on the next-round roadmap.
4-option MCQs (A–D). Verified against the official NSW Education sample papers. Items previously generated with a 5th "None of these" option are filtered out at assembly time so the experience matches the real paper.
Real-exam pacing context: the actual Janison sitting is one day, computer-based, four timed components delivered back-to-back with short between-section breaks.
Scores are calibrated against synthetic cohort data, not published Janison benchmarks. Your mock score is a useful practice signal, not a guaranteed predictor of your real-exam result.
